Learn the Qur’an from those who carry it.

AA Academy offers bespoke tuition in Qur’an recitation and memorisation, alongside the Arabic language, taught by teachers holding ijazahs of the highest sanad.

خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ

“The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”

Sahih al-Bukhari

About the academy

A living chain, taught with care.

AA Academy was founded in the summer of 2020 and takes its name from its two founders, Sheikh Ayad and Sheikh Amr, master reciters who have spent their lives teaching the Qur’an and training imams and teachers across the UK and the Arab world.

The academy exists to answer a simple need: the finest teaching of the Qur’an and the Arabic language that is genuinely within reach of Muslim families across Europe. We teach online and onsite, to students of every age and level, from the first letters of recitation through to full memorisation and ijazah.

Every teacher carries an ijazah of the highest sanad, an unbroken chain of transmission that reaches back to the Prophet ﷺ. That chain is what we pass to each student, letter by letter.

Testimonials

Words from our students.

An absolutely outstanding experience. This is my first term as a student and I am astounded at the confidence Sheikh Amr has built in me. I have always had a fear of reading out loud, and that has changed.
One to One Qur’an student
My teacher, Shaykh Ayad, is incredibly knowledgeable and gives excellent guidance through my Qur’an memorisation. The quality of teaching is excellent and progress has been steady, alhamdulillah.
Hifdh student
The Jazariyyah in Depth course is very well structured and comprehensive. Our Ustadha explains the poem in a depth not found in any other course, and we have a lovely sisterhood where everyone helps each other.
Jazariyyah student
Ustadha Chahrazed is a fantastic teacher. Her strategies make it easy to learn Arabic, and she always makes time to answer my questions and clear up anything I find difficult.
Arabic student
I enrolled my young son for lessons in person, and Shaykh Amr focused on the correct pronunciation of the letters he found hard. I highly recommend AA Academy for you or your child’s Qur’an journey.
Parent of a young student
As a revert, finding a supportive community like this matters so much. The spacious, clean building adds to the peaceful atmosphere and makes it an ideal place for spiritual growth. I am glad I joined.
